Funding announcement

May 2009

Budget night, 12th May 2009, saw the Government announced the funding available in the next financial year, including $15 million for the Australian Phenomics Network for research infrastructure.

Monash/Manitoba Workshop III

March 2009

Members of the APN Management Group and other invited guests attended a workshop on Mouse Models hosted by the Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser, at Government House, Melbourne, Victoria. For more information, see Phenomena Volume 10.

Research centres open in Beijing and Canberra

November 2008

The China-Australia Centre for Phenomic Research was opened at both the Chinese and Australian nodes during November, in Beijing and Canberra respectively.

APF/APN staff visit collaborators overseas

October/November 2008

Staff from the APF/APN visited collaborators in China, Germany, Czech Republic, the US and Sweden in October and November.

APN launched in Canberra

August 2008

The APN was officially launched 21st August, 2008, in Canberra. The event was attended by the Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser, and the Secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, Mark Paterson.
